Phnom Penh Update

For those of you who have been tuning into Khmer 440 and getting mal ware warnings...well I think they finally have the issue resolve. I had planned this update as those of you in the west are probably jones'n for info.

Here is a brief recap of some of the first real weekend of 2010.

The Phnom Penh Friday night bar nemisis the Joker at Walkabout is finally coming to a close. Two cards left this weekend put the final jackpot over 24k. Next week will just be a lottery for the prize. The house will keep all those takings.

Freebird girls made it, California 2 girls joined in the fun.

Sophorn from Sharky (and Phana was seen in the crowd) made it as well. The final card was turned over to get rid of any doubts the joker was on the board. It was the card with the spider webs on it and Matt and Cleve won the side bets.

The Lonestar girls joining the mass humanity spilling onto 174 and 51 streets.

One more Friday of a Street Kegger at Walkabout then the city can get back to normal.

Remember... The lottery is a tax on the Stupid!

For those who haven't been over in a while the riverfront is looking good again in front of the Palace. Farther north near El Mundo, it is still a dust bowl. Diamond Island on the back side of the Naga Casino is starting to look good. If done right it should be nice.

Long time Bartender Sareth tied the knot Saturday night at Bopha Tep across from the Cambodiana Hotel. Someone drove their truck all the way from Colorado to be there....Hmmm.

The Martini boys posing.

It was a good party. He is going to enjoy some quality time with the wife then head to the beach. You wont see him in the M for about another week. Behind the scene party on the right. We at Sharky and the PNH community wish you lots of luck.

The Penhstock tee pee came down.

Acoustic guitarist Billy Page put on a great one man show at Sharky Saturday night. If you missed it he will be back tomorrow for another performance.

Still Plenty of live music this month at Sharky. The following blog has a run down of all the live action and we have a lot of it.
So load up the truck and come on down.

A big happy birthday for Al today!

With the new box offered by PPTV...NFL (American Football) is alive and well in the Kingdom. For you late night Football Fans, catch all the live action at California 2, in their new location on the riverfront (79 Sisowath) and at Lonestar on Street 172 between 51 and Norodom.
