Queensryche Rocks!

For my buds out in isolated places. Put on the headphones and load up all your Queensryche's albums and turn it up! Great stuff. We're digging on them in the bar now.

Stiff Little Punks

These guys are a Phnom Penh sensation! The punks put on a show and bring all the PNH roaches out of the cracks. It was a full house in Sharky tonight. Steve and Ian deliver. They came on at 9:30pm and went non stop through the midnight hour.

They didn't miss a tune that brought someone back to some dingy underground station in the wee hours of the night.

Rocking the Casbah to the right.

Crowd having a good time.

Tim from the Cavern standing in on Bass. A cameo from some visitor from some unsuspecting South American Country.

Finally....

got my mojo back. Having a decent camera
to shoot with makes a difference I must say.

Got to try it out for our Mardi Gras Party. The night kicked off with Al's Cajun Feast.

A pleasant treat for The Samurai Rugby guys who came down from Japan only to be defeated by Sharky sponsored Sisowath Knights! I don't think the boys were feeling any pain as being in Sharky that evening was a win.

Kenny and the Lost Highway turned up the heat at 9Pm.
Lyda above kept them cool with the ice cold draft beers and 2.50 Hurricane specials.

The Samurais filling up the Balcony. Staff always knowing they are a recipient of a shot posing for another one.

Frank the accordion player stepped in to add a little zydeco to the mix.

On of my best crop jobs to the left, and a close second right.

The Lost Highway boys; Larry, Tommy and Kenny.

A little Voodoo to the left and well maybe to the right as well.

A good time had by all and again hats off to the Saints on their Superbowl Victory. Can you believe it we even had the saints go marching in on the sound system that night!
Getting a little help with the party favors right.

The following Thursday and on a regular basis now...The Hellhounds on stage.

These guys get better and better every time they play here and the crowd knows it as well. Check out Steve's Hellhound website, just click the link on the side bar. It got me inspired enough to slap a few lines of text on the pics this blog. Pretty good stuff Steve. BTW splurge a bit and fly over to BKK and get some decent guitar strings.

A li and her sisters posing with Raksmey.

We have the Hellhounds in every Thursday so come on down. Ken to the left, Jimmy and Steve right.

Ross lining op Saturdays activities with Dave from the Stiff Little Punks. Action starts at 9PM on the 20th.

Pisey Thea and Jantu right.

Lots of action still to come in February.

Thursday the 25th the Hellhounds
Friday the 26th the Lazy Jazz Drunks opening for Lost Highway
Saturday the 27th Lost Highway
and Sunday the 28th we finish the Month with the Womens Pool Comp. If it's like the last one I wouldn't miss it. Ratios!

Mardi Gras 2010

How timely of the Saints to win the Superbowl. Sharky will be hosting Lost Highway for is second annual Mardi Gras Party.

Al will be putting out a Real Cajun Feast starting from 7pm for only 9.75

Hurricane Specials only 2.50 all night long. Draft beer always

Sorry about the hiatus in blogs. Yours truly finally took a long overdue holiday to Bangkok. Man the beers (not to mention entertainment in general) are expensive there. 4 to 5 dollars masked in Baht at many venues. The premium brands in Cambodia don't go over 3!

The camera also crapped out and haven't been able to make the time to get it in the shop so
I ended up picking up another body while in Bangkok. Sorry Mr. Goodman of the Hellhounds, I didn't get to your last gig to try it out but I should be firing away and getting you all pics of the local action once again. I also finally got your link for the Hellhounds on the side bar. I've checked it out and it's awesome. Bum 'n Draze should take note!

As always it has been a quiet Chinese New Year around town as many in the Capital flock to the beach. Each year Valentines day is becoming a pretty lively day for the Cambodians and the riverfront and night market were really lively with the general population out to get those flowers and special gifts for that special someone. The flower vendors were making a killing as they doubled their rose prices.

The Hellhounds have been performing pretty regularly on Thursdays. Stiff little Punks are scheduled again for the 20th and the second annual womens pool comp kicks off on the 28th.

Sorry for the gap in blogs, but you can rest assured I have been having fun! Is there any better excuse?
