Phnom Penh Hippie Orchestra
Fresh from playing a Round of performances at various Phnom Penh Bars and Art Galleries, the Phnom Penh Hippie Orchestra came roaring into Sharky’s last Saturday night full of spunk and good vibes. As many of the regular customers and friends expected an evening of Rock Music, the 9 Musicians started playing “World-Infused Folk” Music and the packed crowd immediately became enchanted with the eclectic mix of sounds coming from the Stage.
Playing mainly upbeat global dance music, the usual jaded regular Sharky Bar music lovers immediately got up off of their Bar stools, crowded towards the Stage, and started dancing to the beautiful music coming from the large number of musical instruments played by the professional musicians comprising this great Band. With foot stomping Waltzes(how about that for being different?), to Middle Eastern circle dancing, followed by Western folk music, the Phnom Penh Hippie Orchestra provided an incredible evening of fun, dance, partying, and great spirit to Sharky Bar and to the appreciative audience. With musicians from Russia, England, Cambodia, New Zealand, U.S., France, (sorry if I missed a Country or two), Sharky LIVE rocked on, and on, and on…
Needless to say, we welcome this extremely talented great Global Music Band to come back to Sharky Bar for more evenings of good vibrations and high energy spirit that PPHO gave to the appreciative crowd.
