Well it finally happened the Stiff Little Punks did their first Gig @ Sharky's. and...
we want them Back!
These guys played for 3 hours straight! ripping out punk favourites from Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, Suicidal Tendencies, The Buzzcocks, The Jam, The Clash, Sham 69 & More! For a 2 piece band these guys sound brilliant and the punters had a great time singing along their favourite covers.
Brilliant Job Guys.
The Punks are playing Sharky's again Saturday, 20th of February. 9pm-ish

Cancellation
Sorry about the cancellation tonight. We were all looking forward to tonight's band as well. The singer shot his vocal chords and they opted to take the night off.
But what about those STIFF LITTLE PUNKS. Did they rock last night or what??????

Another Floyd sighting.
Raksmey enjoying some good food.
Bopha and Alin left and Da and friends right.
We are at the January halfway point but plenty of good live action
to come. The Hellhounds are back Thursday, and Stiff Little Punks, "The worst punk band in Cambodia" are returning Friday the 22nd.
Saturday 23rd "Repris de Justesse"
Come on down, Grab a meal early and the action starts at 9Pm
You heard it here first..
Yeah the internet is grand. By the time all the local publications get this out it will be old news. Don Bong said some guy outside was pissed off because he felt he should have won. Well as I said in the previous blog, the lottery is a tax on the stupid. But Some local guy name Daniel came out on top. Rumor in the crowd sez he spent 600 dollars to capture the prize but a small price for the prize. Rumor also has it that he spent more in previous weeks but, his take was probably over 21K . A nice take none the less. A few pics of the publication guys that never patronize the walkabout taking pics.
Leftover tickets from the losers.
Dave delivering beers to some chicks.
Floyd making a cameo all the way from Dubai. The clan making their exodus. Next stop Martini.
Who doe she photograph for???? Steve explaining that it would have been better not to buy tickets for the tuk tuk drivers and moto dops to a white girl. They would have been better off getting that dollar donation instead of a lesson on how to get zero return on foolish use of their money.
Gotta get those pics to the press as this is the biggest thing to hit Phnom Penh in ages. Well hit the walkabout at 5 am on a week night over the last month and yes there is no news there. A few straglers and a few expats. All the real talent isn't around as neither are the tourist.
Tonight' s guest waiter Matt. Lobster thermidor was what he was pushing the most, but I had two orders of clams.
Get that shot.
Mol and Shane happy its done finally. Well so are we and all the other entertainment venues. Friday will return to normal again.
Lost Highway again in the House at Sharky Saturday night. Brought a Keyboard player in this time and doing a lot of new old stuff. I caught some good Foghat during warm ups.
Don't rush to get here. Someone speeding down 130 at Street 13 forgot to check the intersection. Long skids in the road, and fortunately no blood.

Phnom Penh Update
For those of you who have been tuning into Khmer 440 and getting mal ware warnings...well I think they finally have the issue resolve. I had planned this update as those of you in the west are probably jones'n for info.
Here is a brief recap of some of the first real weekend of 2010.
The Phnom Penh Friday night bar nemisis the Joker at Walkabout is finally coming to a close. Two cards left this weekend put the final jackpot over 24k. Next week will just be a lottery for the prize. The house will keep all those takings.
Freebird girls made it, California 2 girls joined in the fun.
Sophorn from Sharky (and Phana was seen in the crowd) made it as well. The final card was turned over to get rid of any doubts the joker was on the board. It was the card with the spider webs on it and Matt and Cleve won the side bets.
The Lonestar girls joining the mass humanity spilling onto 174 and 51 streets.
One more Friday of a Street Kegger at Walkabout then the city can get back to normal.
Remember... The lottery is a tax on the Stupid!
For those who haven't been over in a while the riverfront is looking good again in front of the Palace. Farther north near El Mundo, it is still a dust bowl. Diamond Island on the back side of the Naga Casino is starting to look good. If done right it should be nice.
Long time Bartender Sareth tied the knot Saturday night at Bopha Tep across from the Cambodiana Hotel. Someone drove their truck all the way from Colorado to be there....Hmmm.
The Martini boys posing.
It was a good party. He is going to enjoy some quality time with the wife then head to the beach. You wont see him in the M for about another week. Behind the scene party on the right. We at Sharky and the PNH community wish you lots of luck.
The Penhstock tee pee came down.
Acoustic guitarist Billy Page put on a great one man show at Sharky Saturday night. If you missed it he will be back tomorrow for another performance.
Still Plenty of live music this month at Sharky. The following blog has a run down of all the live action and we have a lot of it.
So load up the truck and come on down.
A big happy birthday for Al today!
With the new box offered by PPTV...NFL (American Football) is alive and well in the Kingdom. For you late night Football Fans, catch all the live action at California 2, in their new location on the riverfront (79 Sisowath) and at Lonestar on Street 172 between 51 and Norodom.
