The Cambodia Cobras tour to Vietnam for the game against the Saigon Swans in Ho Chi Minh City on the 4th September, 2010 was an outstanding success for the new Cambodian Aussie Rules club.
Though the boys went down by 3 goals, they played like demons & put on a star performance.
The Swans all agreed after the game that the Cobras had improved & played hard, tough football, a top effort since the first match against the Swans 6 weeks ago in Phnom Penh.
The Swans played really well & had a good game.
Having joined the boys on their trip, it was a pleasure watching them play.
It all started well with the very beautiful Miss Vietnam 2006 (Mai Phuong Thuy) being present for the toss of the coin between the 2 captains.
All the guys put in a great performance, a real team effort.
Our thanks to Patto who lives in Ho Chi Minh for playing for us, he had a good game & we hope he will play for us from now on.
The Swans are a great bunch of guys & they know how to look after a traveling team. The after game presentation was enjoyable & the cold beers went down really well.
Many thanks to the Swans for your help in arranging the bus from the border & the hotel room discount, great effort guys.
A good night was put on at the Cafe Latin on Saturday night with plenty of food, beer & Jim Beam flowing.
The bus ride home started a bit slow, but once the Cobras were back on Cambodian soil, the fun really started. Lots of beers & great hilarity at the reading out of the fines for any infringement. Remember the "B" word Steve, that must have cost you a fortune in fines.

Our President Murray has resigned & is going back to Australia, good luck to you Murray from all the boys.
There is a general meeting being held at Sharky’s in "The Cage" on Thursday night 9th September from 7.00PM to elect a new president.
All are welcome & any one interested in playing, please come along or contact Anton on 017744395 or our Treasurer Glenn on 089460571, we are looking for more players.
We are also looking for more sponsors so anyone who is interested, once again, please get behind the boys & the new club.
This is my first story for the Sharky blog, I am the new partner in Sharkys & It is great to be one of the Sharky team.
I may not be an Aussie rules player but the boys will have my full support & I will continue to be one of the water boys when I am in town.
Look out guys, I might just drop the camera & water bottles next time & take the mark.
Keep on rocking Cobras.
Packo.
